Wiebe wrote a song during his tour in Afghanistan, based on a song by the Dutch band a balladeer. That song has been recorded and can be downloaded now. 10% of the royalties are contributed to the Dutch “veteranen instituut”. Wednesday the 18th of november Wiebe will be live at 3FM national radio from Afghanistan. Giel Beelen is visiting Camp Holland and Wiebe wrote alternative lyrics on the song “America America” from the Dutch band a balladeer. Marinus (singer of a balladeer) thought this was cool and sent Wiebe the instrumental version of the song and Giel Beelen thought it was a good idea to have Wiebe sing the song live in his radio show. Between o6oo and 0700 hours (netherlands time) Wiebe will perform the song. Off course you can leave a message in the Guestbook, Wiebe will read them.

After a continuous gig of 27,5 hours Bwire succeeded the toughest indecent proposal in history. The succes of this mission means the guys now own the worldrecord of the longest gig in history. Also this means 27,5 hours of exposure on national radio and a lot of respect from all of the DJ’s. Let’s hope their debute single “The top” now hits the Dutch charts. Monday the 25th of may Rob Stenders will air the single for the first time on national radio because that’s the price the guys won with the succesfull completion of his indecent proposal. Hopefully after that 3FM will put the single on their playlist. We would like to thank all the people who supported us during our extremely tiring worldrecord attemt. Your kind reactions helped us getting the job done!
At first the guys thought Rob was kidding when he said that the mission of today was to get the world record of longest gig ever. Bwire now has to play for 27 hours, 3 minutes and 45 seconds until 16.30 hours tomorrow afternoon to finish the mission succesfull. Until 21.30 hours Remco and Wiebe played but the rest of the band has now releived them for a while so they can have some rest. But it’s going to be a really hard job. We’ll get back to you tomorrow or somewhere this night with another update! For now keep tuned to 3FM
Too bad, thanks to the Dutch eurovision songcontest song we didn’t succeed in our mission today. The mission was to find three Albanian people and have them sing the song out loud. Albania gave the Netherlands 10 points in the lost semi finals. Those three Albanian people were hard to find, it would have been easier to find three Chinese people and have them sing our single in Dutch. Anyway we won 10 seconds of airplay, thanks to radio Tirana and the Albanian embassy who were very willing to co-operate with us. For a moment we thought we succeeded when in the first phone call the albanian guy told us his friends were out there in not too fluently Dutch. But he meant they were out in Albania….. Bwire visits Rob Stenders for 4 days in “indecent proposal”.
At the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st of May, Bwire wil be guest in the radioshow “Stenders eetvermaak” at national radio 3FM. They will be starring in Rob Stenders’ program item “indecent proposal” in which bands have to fullfill missions to get airplay. Bwire will try to bring all 4 missions to a good end to get airplay for their single “The top”. All missions are based on the news of that day and are every now and then really surprising…. Take a look at the site of Stenders eetvermaak to have an impression of some of the missions.

As of today, “The top” is on rotation at radio Fryslan. This means that the single will have airplay every day. Another milestone for the guys, just after their first “national” airplay on Kxradio (the radiostation of the well known Dutch DJ Rob Stenders) two weeks ago. At Wednesday the 8th of april the (live) clip of “The top” will be broadcasted at omrop Fryslan television, in the musicshow Klipkar+. They made live recordings during the gig at the radioshow “Noardewyn” last Thursday.
Bwire was live at the radio Fryslan radioshow “Noardewyn” this afternoon. Klipkar+ a television show recorded their latest single “The top”. Wednesday the 8th of april it will be broadcasted at 19:30 hrs at omrop Fryslan television.
Bwire will be in two radioshows this week. At Thursday the 26th of march they will be live in the afternoon radioshow “Noardewyn” at radio Fryslan. This will be for the promotion of their album “Tales” and their single “The top”. As of 13:30 hrs they will play 3 songs in the show. This saturday the 28th of march Bwire will play a live set in the radioshow “Popfocus” of radio “Boarnsterstim”. As of 14:00 hrs they can be heard at 105.6 FM (local radio) but also you can visit this gig because the show is open for public. The location of this show is the radiostudio in Grou.

“The top”, the debute single of Bwire, had airplay at Kxradio. The radiostation of Rob Stenders had had a tip of one of it’s listeners to contact Bwire for the show item “the network”. Wiebe was interviewed by Bas van Dalen and completed his assignment so that “The top” made it’s debute on national radio. From the 1st of March a new national internetradiostation has been launched at www.thealbumstation.nl. The aim of this station are the”forgotten” album tracks but also (new) Dutch music. Also Dutch talent gets airplay en the public can vote in the “Stemlijst” for which demo should be in the playlist for a year long. “The top” is already in the playlist but it would be nice if our debute album “Tales” would be in there for a year. So let’s all vote over here.

The debute album of Bwire (Tales) is out now and for sale through the webshops of radio 538 Skyradio and Musicstore. If you download the album and mail back the order number to info@bwire.nl you receive 2 free live tracks and also you might get one of the two room concerts. You can also buy the single songs.
New pictures added at the images site of the gig in “de Lawei” (thanks to Sandra Bleeker). And also some new pictures (thanks to Anita de Jong) as an apetizer for an upcoming fotoshoot.
A live recording of the song traumatic has been added to the list of songs on our music page. On the 19th of september Bwire played a live session in the Radio show Noardewyn at radio Fryslan, the recording of traumatic can be heard as of today on our site, thanks to radio Fryslan.
After spending some weekends in the studio, 5 songs were recorded. 2 songs are allready mixed and were taken to Popkomm, a big music conference in Berlin, by artist promotion company BizzEvents. There was some interest in Bwire but we have no concrete offers yet. There will be some follow ups to the people that were interested. If we have some more news we will let you know as soon as possible. The remaining three songs are now being mixed and soon they will be available for download. Keep your eye on the site for more news.
